High-voltage battery.

The safety concept for the high-voltage battery has been developed to ensure that the occupants do not come into contact with high voltage. A separate, conventional on-board electrical system with a 12 V car battery, shock-proof plugs and continuous monitoring by a dedicated 12 V interlock circuit are employed to this end. In the event of an accident, the high-voltage elements will be deactivated, depending on the severity of impact. In addition, the battery is accommodated in a robust frame in the underbody.

Should the driver fail to brake or initiate evasive manoeuvres despite the warning, slight braking is initiated autonomously. If the driver responds by braking, they will be assisted in their emergency braking
