More than the familiar radio and navigation functions: together with the optional universal smartphone cradle and the smart cross connect app this solution is your multimedia control centre. In addition, the intuitively operated app with navigation function will find parking spaces for you and allows you to conveniently control the radio functions.
The Audio-System also includes a USB connection and AUX socket for external audio devices such as a USB stick or an MP3 player. Fully in keeping with the latest trends, audio streaming allows music tracks stored on a smartphone to be played back via a Bluetooth connection.
The optional cradle connects your smartphone with the Audio-System. The cradle is mechanically adjustable for a perfect fit: compatible with smartphones with screen sizes from 3.5 to 5 inches. What's more, you can charge your smartphone via the integrated USB port.
The digital radio offers excellent reception quality and valuable additional information, for example about traffic and the radio channel. As transmission in digital broadcasting mode is not yet available everywhere, the digital radio automatically switches from digital to analogue reception and vice versa depending on signal strength. You can also switch between digital and analogue mode manually.
The JBL sound system supplements the Media-System or Audio-System with an impressive sound experience: 8 high-performance loudspeakers including a removable woofer in the luggage compartment and an amplifier with a total of 240 watts deliver first-class sound in the smart fortwo.
The JBL sound system in the smart forfour has 2 additional tweeters, 2 further low mid-range speakers in the rear doors and a total power output of 320 watts.
You can decide later: provision for radio installation has the wiring for retrofitting a radio system. It also includes an aerial, a 1-DIN slot and 2 loudspeakers integrated in the front doors – but it does not include a microphone for a hands-free system.
Boredom has no chance on the rear bench: The tablet holder enables you to fasten your iPad Air on the rear of front seats. Every smart forfour prime comes with the pre-installation required for the tablet holder. For other models you can request your new entertainment station for the rear bench as an option.

Use the full functions of the smart cross connect app: in conjunction with the size-adjustable smartphone cradle that can be mounted on the radio you can connect and control your smartphone with the Audio-System via Bluetooth.
